Villages to visit near our farmhouse

Bagno Vignoni, a Village famous for its thermal spring waters: its mill and its thermal bath with Saint Catherine arcade and its millrace, where you can relax while immersing your feet.

San Quirico d’Orcia. It’s worthwhile walking along Dante Alighieri street and visiting the three famous churches: Collegiata, Madonna di Vitaleta and the romanesque church known as Sante Marie.

Montalcino. You can visit the Cathedral, the Fortress, Sant’Egidio Church, The Civic Diocesan Museum, Sant’Agostino Church, the historical Town Hall and the Madonna del Soccorso church.

Pienza. The ideal city designed by Pope Enea Silvio Piccolomini. You can visit the Cathedral, the central Piazza Pio II, the Piccolomini Palace, and the Civic and Dioicesan Museum inside Palazzo Borgia. Don't forget to reach the wonderful Pieve di Corsignano, at a walking distance from the city.

Monticchiello. A medieval village surrounded by walls. It is still present its entrance door, S. Leonardo and Cristoforo church, and the interesting Museum TePoTraTos, Scenes from Traditional Tuscan Folk Theatre, a granary which belonged to Chigi family, recently been bought and restored by Company of Teatro Povero.

Contignano. A gorgeous village in the core of the Orcia Valley. Here you can visit its medieval town centre and Santa Maria Assunta church.

Radicofani. A village dominated by its impressive fortress. You can visit the medieval town centre as well as S. Agata and S. Peter churches.

Piancastagnaio. You can admire the Aldobrandesca Fortress as well as the church consecrated to St. Mary of the Assuntion, the convent and its church: Madonna di San Pietro.

Abbadia San Salvatore. It’s worthwhile visiting not only its Abbey but also the town centre famous for its narrow streets, arches, piazze and the so many churches such as Santa Croce, San Leonardo, Remedi, Madonna del Castagno. You can also visit the mining museum.
